She is a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, we have two adult sons, Brace, an attorney, and Bryan, a banker. Christians, Joyce and I have been members of Edgewood Baptist Church, Columbus, since 1964. I was elected Deacon in 1980; teacher of teen boys for 25 years; served on finance, personnel, publicity, other committees and in the choir. Through Brentwood, I established and funded in 1999, the Association For Christian Respect In Media (ACRIM) to educate media writers and producers to the harm anti- religious rhetoric in their story lines bring Christians and others.

In past, Board Member Southern Baptist Center for Biblical Studies, local liaison for Southern Baptist Radio-Television Commission, board member, America Heart Association, Columbus, charter president, Muscogee Sertoma Club, past member, Jaycee, Kiwanis and social clubs, past member Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau; founding member of President Reagan inspired Muscogee County Republican Assembly; current member of area Republican organizations, member of trade and professional organizations relating to publishing and broadcasting.
Employment: Present from 2006, Publications and Media Consultant, Brentwood Christian Press, Columbus, Georgia; 1982-2006, founded and led Brentwood Publishers Group 4000 Beallwood Ave. Columbus, Georgia, 31904 (800) 334-8861, with books published for over 5,000 authors, to become a leader in custom publishing of religious books, along with ownership of Poets Cove Press, Southern Baptist Press, Pastors Pulpit Press and Brentwood University Press. Firm sold in 2006, growth continues. I was news director and anchor, WLTZ, Columbus, 1980-1982; served in Washington as Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Jack Brinkley (D-Ga) 1968 and 1981; Phillips College, Columbus, 1974-1979; U.S. Department of Commerce, Atlanta, Columbus and New Orleans 1979-1981.
Other: Managed and announced Little League baseball games, wrote weekly column for The Voice Newspaper, Served on campaigns of candidates for local, state and national office, ran for City Council Post and School Board Member - defeated by incumbents; appointed by Mayor Peters to serve on Charter Review Commission; appointed steering committee member for Say Yes to local sales tax for schools which passed; while head of Brentwood, had daily radio-television call-in talk show for 1992- 2008frequent guest on morning call-in television show; obtained commercial license to volunteer to drive church busses for seniors and others. Completed special election for House Seat 129 and loss in November, 2009.
